Gordon's Park, Manitoulin Island - accommodations and outdoor activities

School Trips

Unique, Educational & Fun

Get your class ready for an outdoor educational adventure at beautiful Gordon’s Park on lovely Manitoulin Island. Forget those stuffy buildings and get the kids back outdoors and into nature.  School trips to Gordon’s Park are educational, fun, and unique. There are a variety of school trip packages to choose from that include our nature interpretive centre, educational hiking trails, 18 hole mini putt, archery, and solar heated swimming pool.  We also have a unique overnight package that includes Tipi Tenting, Astronomy, our Fossil Walk, and all of our day trip options.  At Gordon’s Park, we have developed our nature displays and information along the hiking trails to keep up with the school curriculum focusing on environmental education. In addition, we offer a children’s playground, picnic area, shopping for souvenirs, and lots of green space.

Check out our School Trip Video here.

We can advise you on additional attractions in the area to help fill your day including the Blue Jay Creek Fish Hatchery Visitor’s Centre, Little Red School House Museum, Michael’s Bay, and the Chi-Cheemaun Ferry.

“Our students learned a great deal during their visit to Gordon’s Park Eco Resort. Rita and Terry Gordon were incredibly accommodating and personable. This experience gave the students an amazing opportunity to connect with nature, which is not always available to them in the city.  They all agreed that this was our best Odyssey Trip yet!” – Northstar Montessori School, Mississauga
